The mission of Linking Legacies is to educate and inspire audiences in Northeast Ohio and beyond through musical and educational programs focusing on the rich history of African-American composers who were born or educated in our region.

A collective of African-American classical musicians, Linking Legacies offers performances of this music, paired with educational programming to increase awareness of composers with historical significance but whose music was marginalized during their lifetimes. Linking Legacies also shines a light on the vital role played by this region in African-American education and artistic development in the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries.
